Angelici od tate - Day 38
Draga Angelica!
When Tata was growing up, he was surrounded by his grandparents Baka Iva (that's how you got your middle name) Baka Marija, Dida Striko and Dida Mico. Tata used to spend summers on Korcula with Baka Marija and Dida Striko and weekends in the cottage house with Dida Mico and Baka Iva. I learned to make jam, pick up grapes, do the wine, pick up the fruit. They left a strong influence on your Tata, because they all had rough childhood growing up during World War II. Dida Mico almost missed going to school. He was a 10 year old shepherd when a priest realised he was intelligent and made him go to school. His mom was against it. Can you imagine your mom being against you going to school?! It is important to listen to your grandparents because they have been through a lot and they can always give you good advice.
